Alright, let's get back on this blogging spree shall we? Okay, I was never really on a blogging spree but, in spite of that I never want to post something that is useless. So, on to with our topic of this blog; my hair routine.
When I was little, I'm not gonna lie I pretty much had Pantene Pro V hair, alright? It was long, thick, I shed a lot but still I had a lot of hair. Whenever I put my hair in a pony tail, it would be thick. Then sadly I did something stupid... multiple times, unaware of what it was doing to my amazing hair!
I started to dye it brown, purple, red, bleached it! Oh my goodness, why did I have to do that? Now, in present time my hair is still very long cause I haven't cut it in about a year (yes, I will be getting a trim soon 'cause of all the dead ends). My hair now is limp and lifeless. The fact that I wash my hair more often (every other day) than I did when I was a kid (age 8-13) which was 3 times a week, I believe. After years of trying to manipulate my hair to curl or have volume it failed every time or there would be one or two times when it worked but, it would take me hours to do. I've read and heard that the less often you wash your hair the healthier it'll be. Of course you gotta do it gradually. If you wash your hair everyday start with washing it every other day. Or if you're someone like me who washes the hair every other day, we gotta wash it every 2 days. I'm not sure how long we do that for, a month then we move onto every 3 days. Slowly, your scalp will become soft and your hair will not create much oil. The more you wash it, the more your hair and scalp will dry, that will create the body to produce more oils for the scalp which will make your hair oily, quickly.
Now that I have pin straight hair that goes oily within a day... sucks! I've tried gradually skipping days of washing but, I couldn't stand my hair being greasy, especially in public! But, that was when I picked up some dry shampoo. I've read and watched reviews on dry shampoo and I thought it'd be perfect for me because on my second day hair it's already oily and I don't want to wash it and make it worse. The one I use is by Tresemme. You just spray it on and brush it out or use a towel. I tried brushing it out but, it didn't work. This product works, the powder just soaks up all the oil and makes your hair look clean. The only thing I don't like about it is how it makes my hair feel. I am the person who can't stand having the feel of something disgusting in my hair. I've tried clay, wax, hairspray, gel, and powder. Of course I can't get a product that doesn't have that effect, I just want something that doesn't make my hair dirty quicker. All the above I just listed does. I really thought the powder would volumize my hair without weighing it down or making it feel icky, but, it did. So, I guess the only cure is to tone down my hair washing just a tad and slowly go down from there.
I hope this was helpful for those who are in the same boat as me. We can get thick hair again! For those who already have awesome thick non-greasy hair, us oily girls envy you, haha!

My List Of Amazing Things
There's the Book of Awesome and blogs about appreciating all the little things. Since I've been preoccupied for the past month, I forgot to blog on here. That got me thinking about the little things that's been happening.
1. Finding goods that people threw away. One man's garbage is another man's treasure. My friend and I were driving by their house when they spotted a table on the side of the road. Even from a far I loved it instantly and told them to turn back to check it out. It was a part of an L shaped table because one side the metal was sticking out like it was suppose to be attached to something else. My friend helped me fix it up a bit, tightening up the screws. Now it's in my room with all my necessary stuff on it like make up =P. But, no really, it was an amazing find. I was about to go to Ikea to get myself a new table too! Psh, I don't need Ikea no mo'.
2. Summer with friends. At the beginning of summer I couldn't wait for school to start in the fall but, now that there's only 1 month left of summer I kind of want summer to be longer. I just love having those days at the beach or some lake far far away with family, or just staying up late at a friends house watching movies.
3. Spending the day with my mother. It's kind of rare for my mother and I to spend quality time together because she goes out with her friends and I go out with mine, or she has work. To be honest, I had a lot of fun hanging out with her. We went to the mall and shopped then went out to eat. Totally girly and I really liked it.
4. Feel good songs. Honestly, I am very thankful for my ears and what types of music it can take. I listen to alternative, dance, hip hop, reggae, electronic, etc. Recently... well for the past couple months I have been getting into gaming music. I've always liked gaming music but, lately I've been sick of hearing the songs on the radio, they all sound the same now-a-days! I've been listening to a lot of gaming music. And honestly, I never knew how amazing it would be. They can hear that they put a lot of work into it. I never thought they would take gaming music this seriously but, I love it. There's calming music, there's sad ones, angry, upbeat, etc. My favorite gaming music must be from Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid.

I am very picky when it comes to movies. I won't watch something unless it absolutely looks amazing. Which is really bad because I've been missing out on a lot of great movies that I have yet seen. So, lately for the past couple months I have been desperate looking and trying new movies even if they don't look totally appealing to me. Who knew some of those movies turned out to be awesome. So, now I blame the advertisement and marketing team for those movies! Also, I am one of those who could watch a movie more than once or twice, or thrice. What can I say, once I find something I like I tend to stick to it and am afraid to try new things.
After searching endlessly for "top scariest movies" or "top romance films" etc, I thought "hey, why not make my own, maybe it'll help someone who was in the same position as me". Not that I'm not in the same position anymore, I'm always on a hunt for a better animation or action or romance film. 'Cause I know for all of those top lists there's repeats of movies that I've already seen. I know my list will obviously have common movies that most people have heard of but, I hope that there are some that haven't.

Friendship
How to be a good friend? Any rules for friends? How to treat your friends? What not to do? What are the to-do's?
For what I'm about to say is all coming from experience. I am not telling you to forcefully do or don't do all this. This is my thought on friendship from my point of view.
For the past 2 and a half, almost 3 years now my social life have gone through the sky and mud. I had my best friend leave me as a friend and stopped contact with me over night. When my best friend stopped being my friend, our mutual friends went all to them. So, before I get too detailed, I just wanted to say that I went through a while without having anybody there for me. I had no one to talk deeply with. I had no girlfriends to go to the mall with or just do girly things with. I haven't had a girlfriend for almost 3 or 4 years now. Let me tell you all this... when everything was going perfect, I thought to myself that I will never lose my friends. They always have me and I'll always have them. Now that I look back on it, I took them for granted. I saw them everyday. We were all more than welcome into each others homes. I saw them as family, we saw each other like family and I still feel like I took them for granted.
Now that I experienced having nobody there for me and always having somebody there for me, it taught me a hell lot about friendship and life. If I haven't experienced with always having somebody there for me then I probably would never know how much friends affect your life in a good way! I saw them as my own siblings and I truly cared for them. I am so incredibly thankful that I had that deep of a connection with such loving friends. Now I know these things do exist.
If I haven't experienced having not one soul with me during the lowest point in my life made me so damn strong. It made me grow up. I know that nothing lasts forever, no matter how sure and perfect I thought everything were. It made me build up walls within myself and yet it made me have open arms to strangers. It made me realize that I should be friends with whoever is nice to. Not because of their status or how they look. I don't care about that. No matter how pretty a person is or how rich a person is does not mean a thing. Maybe they are the biggest jerk you've ever met or maybe they are the most genuinely, down to earth, realest person you've ever met.
Now... to answer the questions from above.
How to be a good friend?
Deeply care for them. Friends will be there when you're at your lowest. Friends are the ones that are gonna be there when you break up with that jerk. Okay, maybe I said that 'cause I'm being bias but, that is true though. If you always followed your lover what's going to happen when you two break up? Your friends won't because you ignored them and put them in the back burner because you "think" they will always be there.
Any rules for friends?
One must understand one's situation. One must rethink a big decision made upon another. Do not ditch your friends repeatedly because "you two are good enough friends that they'll understand" no, it's the principal of it. You two made plans, follow through. Look forward to being with them!
What not to do?
Do not leave a friend for a lover. I mean if your friend tried to break you guys up 'cause they're jealous of the other person then by all means do whatever you need to do. What I'm saying is if your friend has done nothing between you and your lover, rethink before you do something. Do not NOT help a friend when they need it. Whether it be a talk or showing up for something.
How to treat your friends? and What are the to do's?
Honestly, from my experience I treat anybody new with care. I'll already have full respect for them until they show me otherwise. It might take awhile for them and I to be close friends but, I treat my close friends like they are my family.
So, take good care of yourself. Choose your friends wisely. Do not treat them like they're always going to be there, that's just going to let you do things that will push you guys away. Be kind to everybody unless they give you a reason not to. Even then, always try to forgive because it's not worth your time to always be holding onto that hate. I promise you will be much happier if you let go. Let go but, always protect yourself. You will be wiser because of that.

Realizations About Victoria Secret and Cartoon Shows?
So, I recently went bra shopping at La Senza. A couple months back Victoria Secret bought La Senza so now it's under their organization. If you've noticed, that's why all the La Senza stores got renovated. Before the renovations I always bought my bras from La Senza and established my size and everything. So, when I went shopping at La Senza like 2 weeks ago, I realized that my cup size changed, it went up one size bigger. I thought to myself, this can't be right. It fits but, I know it's part of their strategy of making women feeling better about their size so they'll buy more. When I went home I did some research and read some forums about this and it's true. Other ladies realized they've gone up several bra sizes.
I know that companies every where uses this method. Mc Donalds used to have those uncomfortable plastic seating areas so the customers won't sit for long. Some clothing companies label a "small" when it should be "medium". Of course when I found out my new bra size in La Senza I was happy but, it did not fool me into buying more bras. I know your strategies!!!
Alright, so the second and last realization for tonight would be cartoon/anime shows. I watched a lot of tv when I was younger but, it wasn't until recently, like 2 months ago where I stopped watching tv (at my place at least). I'm usually on the computer for my leisure time. I have an older brother and he loves watching South Park, The Simpsons and recently he's really into anime shows. For me on the other hand I love Family guy and Arthur. Yes, Arthur. For my whole life even to this day I try to get myself to be obsessed with South Park and The Simpsons. After thinking and comparing things in my tiny little mind I realized why it's so hard for me to have interest in South Park and The Simpsons, it's because the style is different. It's not appealing to my eyes. I find both of them to be funny. I just like more rounded shapes. Such as Family Guy and Arthur characters are very neat and doesn't have any much harsh lines. With South Park it's all cut outs and their movements are kind of stiff. With anime, I really don't find that appealing at all and you can probably guess why. Of course, all of my animated tv show favorites aren't based on the style. There's American Dad, Futurama, and The Cleveland Show are very similar if not the same style as Family Guy. Those shows I just don't find to be funny. The point is, when you're flipping through channels on your television, you see first before you hear. I hope I'm not the only one that's like this.
