MASCARA

I don't know about you but I've always had trouble finding the perfect mascara for the short, straight lashes of mine. I've heard of some overly ranted mascara such as:

-
Christian Dior: DiorShow
-
Too Faced Lash Injection: Pinpoint
-
Clinique: High Impact

I'm not even gonna name
Maybelline Great Lash mascara because everyone knows it's shit!

So, the mascaras I've listed above, sadly I have not tried the first two so I can't agree with the reviews. Luckily, I've tried the
Clinique High Impact in a sample size. I must say, this stuff lasts pretty long even if it's the sample size. The brush is nice and thick. It doesn't separate my lashes too much like the other mascaras that give you spider legs. This one makes them a bit thicker looking and longer looking. Keep in mind you guys, I have short lashes! After applying the mascara I curl them and girl, let me tell you... I just wanted to bat my lashes all day. Okay, maybe they don't look like falsies but they do make a difference. The name "High Impact" has delivered. Very pigmented and the brush is lovely.

The mascaras I've tried and think are decent are...

-
Clinique: High Impact
-
Maybelline: Full n' Soft
-
L'Oreal: Telescopic in Carbon Black
-
NYX: Doll Eye in Long Lash
-
Rimmel: Lash Maxxx

The Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara is decent.

The time when I got the mascara they only had brown. I used it and to be honest I really liked it. It is soft and it's not totally full but, you notice a difference. I bought the brown one and I noticed a difference, my lashes are black. So, if I did get the mascara in black then it would look lovelier! It is waxed based, that's what makes it soft. It's a bit more difficult to take off but, not enough to make me stop using it. It's a good everyday mascara. I will buy this again because my brown one is running out!

L'Oreal Telescopic...

oh how I love and hate you. Has this ever happened to you? When you buy a mascara and you totally love everything about it and once you go buy the same one because you ran out it's like you bought a totally different mascara? That happened to me twice! First is this one. I first got this in Carbon Black and I swear i couldn't stop using it. It made my lashes look so long, I was addicted to it. Once I ran out I went to get some more but, they only had the brown color in stock. So, why not I just got it expected it to be the same just a bit lighter. I don't know if the color made the consistency different or what but it wasn't doing anything like how the carbon black one was. I still have it, I'm just afraid to use it again. I'm going to buy the carbon black again and see if it's the same. So, I love this mascara and yet I hate it.

NYX Doll Eye in Long Lash!
In the store I was contemplating between the length or volume mascaras. In the end I chose length. I kind of regret it now, haha. Though, I'm not saying this is a bad mascara, no no. It does add length, the fibers aren't clumpy and did not irritate my eyes. This is a good mascara it just wasn't what I wanted. I will try the volume one. Hopefully that will be the best mascara I've ever tried.

Okay, remember when I mentioned about buying the same product the second time and having it not work the same? Well, that's what happened with Rimmel London Lash Maxxx. The first time I bought it I loved it. The reason why I loved the Telescopic one and this one is because of their brushes. It's not the regular fluffy brushes these ones are combs. Rows of bristles. It helped coat each lash perfectly, also the consistency of the product was perfect. It didn't clump, if there is the comb can definitely take it out. Anyway, back to the the Lash Maxxx, I bought another one and this time it was dry, it clumped, the comb couldn't comb it out. Maybe it was expired. Who knows. After that I bought the waterproof one and I just did not like it. The end!

Right now I am currently using the sample Clinique High Impact one and the Full n' Soft. After purchasing the Urban Decay Fatty Mascara a couple years back and was disappointed by it, I never wanted to by high end products again. Drug store products works the same and better! Or maybe I'm just cheap, haha.

So, after writing all of this I still have to say that I'm still on a hunt for my perfect mascara. Volume and length. I've seen the Maybelline Falsies, haven't tried it. I've read some reviews saying it's nothing special or it doesn't deliver. Again, I cannot agree or disagree with those since I have not tried it yet. Though, along this journey I've discovered some decent reliable ones that I know will always work for me.
